Lindsay's Story

Picture
I graduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA in December 2008. I graduated with a degree in accounting and will be starting work with PricewaterhouseCoopers in San Francisco in September 2009. I have spent the last 6 months studying and taking my 4 CPA tests and am currently awaiting final results.

I come from a family of four including my mom, Kathy, dad, Ken, and older brother, Jeff. We also have two dogs running around the house, Precious, a terrier mix, and Axle, an English bulldog. We lived in the same house in San Ramon for my entire life. My family is a bit obsessed with cars and we enjoy going autocrossing on the weekends.

Some of my hobbies include playing sports (especially football), camping, anything with cars, hanging out at the beach, going to sporting events, watching movies, going to concerts, and kicking James' butt at videogames.

I have been dreaming of my Cinderella wedding ever since I was a little girl and can't wait for my fairytale to come true!

James' Story

Picture
James just graduated with degrees in journalism and art. He attended Valparaiso University in Indiana (unfortunately 3,000 miles away from me). While in college he was involved in everything from his fraternity Sigma Chi, to helping with Habitat for Humanity and Relay for Life. Right now James is in the job market hoping to work with either graphic design or journalism.

James' family includes his mother, Cathy, father, Walter, and younger brother, Tommy. Annie, his dog loves to run the household.

James' hobbies include photography, graphic design, camping, watching baseball, and music.

James says he knew he was going to marry me all along and is happy it is finally happening!

How We Met

Picture
James and I met in high school while in the same photography class. At the time, James was sporting a hair style that was more than a few years out of fashion. I sort of likedJames but no sparks flew until after a fateful trip to Norm the barber.

When James walked into Photo class that day, I am quoted as saying "Oh wow! Who is that?" A few months later I could no longer resist his charm after I saw him in a cheer leading outfit for the annual powder puff game. It was a football player and cheerleader match made in heaven.

I hosted an end of the school year pool party, where James finally made his move. Unfortunately, we parted ways for two different camps shortly after. I returned home first and found a special letter in the mail. James called from camp that day to follow up with what he had written. From then on it was official, we were a couple.

We had many good times throughout that summer and senior year. Unfortunately after senior year, James headed off to Indiana and I headed down to Southern California. We spent the past 4 years thousands of miles apart but managed to make many visits and stay strong. We are now back in the same city, planning our wedding together, and loving it!
