Monograms

Below are three different options we have so far for the monograms we will use throughout the wedding.

Dress Shopping Gifts

Most of my bridesmaids came dress shopping with me the first time. To thank them all for their time and joining me for my special day I put together a little package including a notebook, and a calendar pad.

Final Package

Water Bottle Lables

These are our water bottle labels. The first 3 are designs for the ceremony and reception. The last design is for the water bottles that will be in the OOT welcome packages. We will be printing them on full-sheet waterproof labels from labelsbythesheet.com.

Tissue Paper Pomanders

We are hanging 7 of these 6" pomanders in the dome in front of which we are getting married. They are in honor of the 7 grandparents who are no longer with us but who will be looking down on us. We have 4 bright pink pomanders and 3 light pink pomanders. They will be hanging with black ribbon. Currently they are stored hanging in the closet with as plastic bag over them to keep them safe and dust-free until the wedding. These were made thanks to the directions at http://diytissuepomanders.weebly.com/ from FutureMrsDudley55. (Thank you so much your directions are awesome!)

CD Favors

We are handing out CD's as favors with some songs that are important to us, songs we like, and songs we think everyone will enjoy. (If you're curious, tthe playlist can be found under "Music.".) FI designed the cover and the CD label. We also created the CD envelopes from scratch which was a lot more time consuming then we would have liked but we saved a lot of money and think they came out really nice.

Cake Topper

This is our cake topper that we loooove! We got the "W" from Crafty Eddy. We then puttied it, sanded it, painted it silver, and accented with rhinestones. The rhinestones are 10ss clear rhinestones from Ebay.

Unity Candle

Picture
We were originally going to make the standard unity candle with our monogram but decided we like the idea of a floating candle in a vase better. This way we can actually use the vase the rest of our lives. We through in some marbles and a fake flower we bought on sale at Michael's. Overall we think it came out pretty nice. Also don't mind the wrapping around the tapers. We didn't want to take them out and get them messed up.

Escort Cards

Picture
We found these photo screens at Aaron Brothers during the penny sale so we bought one and go one for a penny! We will have 2 up at the reception for all of our escort cards. The bottom 3 openings will have some of our favorite engagement pictures. The center opening of one will say "Once upon a time..." and the other will say "...and they lived happily ever after." We cut out cardboard the same size of the opening, covered it with batting, then stapled the fabric around it to act as a pin cushion to hold the escort cards in. The design for the escort cards and center opening are below. The escort cards are backed with black cardstock and stuck in with pink pearl pins. This was just our mockup so don't mind the bows which haven't all been cut down to size yet and the pictures of the random people at the bottom.

Ring Bearer/Flower Girl Tote Bags

Our ring bearer and flower girl (cutest little 3 and 4 year olds you will ever see) both love Disney so we made them these tote bags full of goodies to keep them entertained during the wedding. The bags include coloring books, crayons, markers, stickers, card games, paddle ball game, mini dry erase boards, notebook, and a few other little toys. We bought plain tote bags from Michael's, sewed on some ribbon trim and ironed on some Disney transfers. We bought the "ring security" sheet for the ring bearer at Michael's. We made the flower princess shirt using iron on letters from Michael's and an iron on rhinestone crown also from Michael's. It looks so much better in person when you get the full effect of the bling and glitter!

Card Box

We made our cardbox using a set of 3 cardboard boxes we found at Jo Ann's. We then covered the boxes with assorted black and white scrapbooking paper. We added on some pink ribbon trim and cut a slot in the top big enough to fit greeting cards. Before attaching the ribbon we designed our own iron-on rhinestone pattern using mylar paper to add the "cards" onto the middle tier. We think it came out pretty nice!

Flip Flop Basket

Last summer we stocked up on black flip flops from Michael's for $.40 a pair!  We bought 25 small and 25 medium for our wedding of 200 guests. We bought a custom monogram stamp from a seller on ebay and stamped each flip flop with our monogram using opaque white Staz On ink (thanks to fellow knottie KRHagen for the idea!). We were surprised how well it worked and what an easy project it was! We bought some Christmas baskets on sale after Christmas and spray painted them black. Then we just added on our sign (PIB under Paper for close up of the design) using some ribbon and we're ready to go. Hopefully the guests will appreciate them!

Table Numbers

Picture
For our table numbers (1-19) we bought cheap frames from Target. We cut out some cardboard the same size of the frame and covered it with extra fabric from our escort card board. We used my mom's cricut to cut out numbers in the same font as our STD's.. We then added on a black bow to tie in with the escort card board and added a little rhinestone detail in the middle of the bow. Overall, it was a pretty simple project and we think it ties in nicely with all of our other projects.

Flower Girl Basket

Picture
We found this little basket on sale after Christmas for just a couple dollars. We spray painted it white and just added some ribbon details using extra ribbon from the rest of our projects. It isn't anything too fancy but we think it will be great for our little flower girl!

Cocktail Napkins

Picture
We bough pink and black cocktail napkins from our local party supply store. We used our monogram stamp and black powder to emboss all of the pink napkins. This was a pretty quick project and we love how they turned out!
